The National College of Pharmacy, under the coordination of IQAC, conducted a Family Pharmacist community outreach program on 21st June 2025. Students from 4th year Pharm D, B. Pharm, and 2nd year D. Pharm actively participated in the initiative by visiting 20 houses in Ward 24 of Mukkam Municipality.
The activities included monitoring blood pressure and blood glucose levels, assessing medication adherence, and providing health education to residents. Special focus was given to creating awareness about common rainy season diseases and their prevention.
This program served as an excellent hands-on learning experience for the students while contributing positively to public health in the community. It highlighted the role of pharmacists in primary healthcare and preventive medicine.
