National College of Pharmacy, established in 1996, is a premier in the higher education institution in Kerala. The college is situated at Manassery, Kozhikode district, and is the meeting place of the three districts, namely Kozhikode, Malappuram, and Wayanad. Mr. C. A. Abdul Salam was the first Principal of this college, and later, Mr. Mujeeb Rahman took his place as the Head of the Institute.
The college was upgraded to a degree-level institution in 2002 with a BPharm intake of 60 and flourished into a full-fledged college with social responsibility and commitment to society. Prof. R. Raju, a retired Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Govt. Medical College, Trivandrum, took the position of Principal, and now Dr. Sujith Varma has taken over the role.
The postgraduate and professioal doctoral programs in Pharmacy, namely MPharm and PharmD, were introduced in the year 2010. The college is a minority self-financing institute managed under the KMCT Trust. We have a history and heritage that we endeavor to preserve, serving as an inspiration and guide for our future. National College of Pharmacy is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences, approved by PCI and AICTE, and accredited with A grade in NAAC. The college offers a wide range of programs to learners with 100 undergraduate (BPharm) seats, 30 seats for PharmD, 10 seats for PharmD Post Baccalaureate, 60 seats for Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharm), and four specializations in the postgraduate program in Pharmacy (MPharm - Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis & Pharmacy Practice).
Since its inception, National College of Pharmacy has witnessed several milestone moments, including campus expansion, various accreditations and recognitions, increases in seat capacity, and much more.
