KIIC (KMCT Innovation & Incubation Center)
National College of Pharmacy which comes under KMCT Group of institutions has started KIIC for supporting all of our fraternity which includes undergraduate students, post graduate students, teaching and non-teaching faculty or anyone who wants to connect to our incubation system. We facilitate best practices especially in early stage entrepreneurs and researchers who have a vision and are looking to engage and grow together. We support people at both the Incubation and Acceleration steps. The Incubation program supports ideas from conception up through development of a project. Innovative ideas can be anything between academic research and business ideas to become entrepreneurs, start up with collaborations or a researcher. We welcome ideas from everyone who is a part of our campus, may it be students, teaching faculty, office staff, clinical/lab assistant staff, technical staff etc.
Facilities and Infrastructure
We would like to mention the benefits of KMCT incubation centre. As a large group, we have 13 educational institutions of various streams within the campus. This campus is one of the most diversified campuses including Engineering, Polytechnic, Architect, Law, Ayurveda, Medical, Pharmacy and Dental. So, participation from all the institutes make our incubation centre a success. Ideas from different institution are put together and made incubation possible with our human resources and technology from different KMCT institutions. Our incubation centre has MOUs with various institutions like NIT Calicut, MVR Cancer center, Milma Milk products etc. The access to all the industries, fab labs, and marketing agencies can easily be done through our collaborations. We have an incubation centre office including the furniture and computers in KMCT dental college itself, which is now function as incubation centre of entire KMCT institutions Incubation Center Inauguration
KMCT incubation centre facility for entire KMCT institution was inaugurated on 7 th December 2021 followed by a talk on incubation centre and introduction to start up Kerala by eminent personalities from the respective field.Dr Ravi Nodal officer IEDC, KMCT dental college delivered welcome speech. Dr Ayisha Nazreen Director Operation KMCT Group of Institutions delivered director’s address followed by presidential address by Dr Manoj Kumar KP, Principal KMCT Dental College. Introduction to incubation centre was given by Mr. Vijith Kumar C V Administrative Officer TBI NIT Calicut. Aishwarya Lakshmi Technology Fellow, Kerala Start Up Mission given complete idea about Start Up Mission, FAB lab support and financial support by Government. A Total of 86 participants including faculties, post graduates and nodal and assistant nodal officers from KMCT institutions- KMCT Arts and Science college, KMCT Ayurveda medical college, KMCT College of Allied Health science, KMCT College Architecture, KMCT College of Nursing, KMCT Dental college, National College of Pharmacy, KMCT National hospital attended the Programme.
