National College of Pharmacy
Established in 1996 by Dr. K. Moidu – National College of Pharmacy is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Science (KUHS) and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, AICTE & Govt. of Kerala. It has earned its name as the leading pharmacy college in the region with its excellent facilities, dedicated faculty and enviable placement record. Nurtured and supported by KUHS, the college successfully runs courses from D.Pharm to Pharm D including various specializations in postgraduate levels. It is there for significant that new rising buds of pharmacy profession should be a part of our institution which could result in a better and more comprehensive professional achievement.
As being a multiple course gathering institutions situated in Calicut city, Kerala where students from various parts of Kerala came to show up their talents in academic and nonacademic levels. The region where the institute put up has got its own distinct culture and tradition. The separate hostel facility for boys and girls inside the campus makes the institute different from others.
Emerge as a centre of eminence by creating responsible and resourceful citizens with commitment to excellence in pharmacy education and allegiance to ethical professional practices.
● Providing quality pharmacy education and training that enables pharmacists to facilitate the delivery of ethical, conscientious, cost effective healthcare services to all.
● Cultivating an environment that is collaborative, interdisciplinary, innovative and creative in approach
● Partnering with individuals and institutions across the world who occupy leadership positions and promoting reciprocal exchanges in both academic and cultural spheres.
National College of Pharmacy (NCP) is endowed with a very young faculty filled with ambition and a sense of purpose. I have witnessed an extraordinary sense of community in this campus and the township at large. Institutions are built by people and fuelled by their aspirations; not bricks, labs, nor just expensive research equipment.
There is enormous social capital and camaraderie waiting to be deployed in this pursuit of excellence. It is a matter of time before such fledgling institutions will find a place on the educational map of India. NPC always opens the door for the students to accomplish their final goal. My plan is to make NPC as one of the premier institutions for Pharma researches in India.
Dr. Sujith Varma brings more than three decades of academic and research experience to the table. He has several peer-reviewed publications in his credit and currently focused on “lending a hand” to the pharmacy students to make a mark in the highly volatile marketplace.
Dr Varma received several research grants from various Govt agencies. He has been associated with the National College of pharmacy since 1998. Furthermore, he has been instrumental in the curricular and extracurricular activities. He played a pivotal role in bringing the college to the global standard.
